πŸ™‹Delegation

Members can delegate their voting powers, $vePikuG, to another member of their choice. To do so, members need to delegate their $vePikuG’s to their chosen delegate’s wallet address on-chain. Delegate’s voting power will be increased by the equal amount of $vePikuG delegated. Members can still vote If the Delegated votes are used in voting by the eithe $vePikuG will be locked until the proposal voting phase is over

Why Delegate?

Some DAO members might not have the capacity to actively participate in the governance process. These members can delegate their voting power to other members who are able to actively participate, and create DAO Champions. The utopian vision of PikuDAO is a community and backing lead by the cumilative knowledge of the experts in deciding on the ideal backing of the people's currency Piku.

Delegation and voting individually is considered to be the same action for the incentives program.

Who to delegate to?

During stage 1, PikuDAO and the team will actively expand its community and collective knowledge by onboarding industry experts, economists, opinion leaders who would help shape the future direction of Piku. The verified delegates will be able to display their names and profiles on the Piku Platform's delegation page. Members who consider delegating their voting power should review the delegate profiles either through community channels or candidates' public profiles.

How to delegate your Voting Power?

1) Go to app.piku.co/delegate .

2) Connect wallet (if not connected already).

3) Choose prefered delegate from the list or type wallet address of the delegate.

4) Confirm and Approve transaction on wallet.

How to become a delegate?

To become a delegate, you can apply by sending an introductory email to info@piku.co. The applicants will be manually reviewed by the core team and contacted for an interview. If accepted, the applicant's name and wallet address will be listed on the public Piku delegation page for other DAO members to delegate their voting power. The application process will be replaced by a more decentralized approach in the later version of Piku platform.
